ABOUT THE CENTRE




We would like to welcome you to the Alfa Hotel /Centre and the traditional paradise village of Azogires.




The Hotel and Centre is high in the mountains set amongst Virgin Olive
Groves, with shady forests nearby a magical waterfall and cool pool/stream just moments away.






The Alfa Hotel is perfect as an alternative centre/retreat and regularly hosts various groups, seminars and workshops including, Tai Chi, Reiki and Yoga to name a few.

The Hotel is ideal for walkers, bird watchers and anyone who appreciates the peace and tranquility of a mountain village. You almost feel transported back in time




In the main building we have 8 rooms, 6 twin, 2 double, 4 of which have air con, all have balconies facing the fantastic sea views. all ensuite with seperate toilet and shower room. Next to the main building we have a communal kitchen, group room and a large terrace with magnificent sea and mountain views to be enjoyed by everybody.

ABOUT AZOGIRES










Azogires is a beautifull and unique village in the mountains, it is mentioned in many tourist guides as the "Paradise Village". In the village you will find two cafe/restaurants, one of which is the famous Alfa Cafe which still serves the world famous Sofias Omellete amongst many other Cretan specialities. The Cafe is also the village Information Center where Lucky is the man with all the answers and knows all of the local history.






These are but a few of the places of interest in and around Azogires. When you come to vist the Kaffenion Lucky will tell you about the rest.




The valley is perfect for walkers and nature lovers with many walking paths such as the famous Anidri path and the Azogires Spaniakos path via the Turkish fort.
Also close by are the 99 Holy Fathers Monastery and museum, the grave of the legendary local Priest and hero Gabriel Papagrigorakis, the Holy Plane Tree, Not forgetting the old Venetian style bridge, the olive oil factory. View the two thousand year old olive trees and buy their oil at the Kaffenion.

You can visit the mystical Alfa water falls, the magical Alfa forest, the spiritual Koukoutsakis and Holy Fathers caves the ancient Carved caves and St.John the Hermits Church.
