Azogires is a beautifull and unique village in the mountains, it is mentioned in many tourist guides as the "Paradise Village". In the village you will find two cafe/restaurants, one of which is the famous Alfa Cafe which still serves the world famous Sofias Omellete amongst many other Cretan specialities. The Cafe is also the village Information Center where Lucky is the man with all the answers and knows all of the local history.

The valley is perfect for walkers and nature lovers with many walking paths such as the famous Anidri path and the Azogires Spaniakos path via the Turkish fort.
Also close by are the 99 Holy Fathers Monastery and museum, the grave of the legendary local Priest and hero Gabriel Papagrigorakis, the Holy Plane Tree, Not forgetting the old Venetian style bridge, the olive oil factory. View the two thousand year old olive trees and buy their oil at the Kaffenion.
You can visit the mystical Alfa water falls, the magical Alfa forest, the spiritual Koukoutsakis and Holy Fathers caves the ancient Carved caves and St.John the Hermits Church.
